SafeSwap Seller Terms — v1 (DRAFT — pending solicitor review)
_SafeSwap by SBS. Dublin, Ireland. Baseline V1 terms; solicitor review required before launch. The hash of this file is recorded in ss_terms_versions and binds each seller's acceptance._
1. Listing rules
- You may only list items in the allowed categories: second-hand or new clothing, sneakers,
iPhones, and game consoles. Everything else is rejected.
- Your listing must be accurate: correct brand, size, condition, defects, and photos of the
actual item. Stock photos and other people's photos are not allowed.
- iPhones and consoles are a premium inspection category and require extra detail before they
can go live.
2. Approval
No listing is public until SafeSwap reviews and approves it. SafeSwap may reject, request changes, or remove any listing.
3. Pickup and inspection
- A SafeSwap driver collects the item and checks it against your listing.
- The item must match the approved listing at pickup. If it does not, the sale can be cancelled
and a security review may be opened.
- You may not change the item, its price, or its specs after it has been reserved or sold.
4. Payout
- For V1, SafeSwap charges no seller fee. You receive the full item price.
- Payouts are made to your connected Stripe account after the buyer accepts the item or the
acceptance window closes with no valid dispute.
- Payouts are held while any security hold or open dispute applies to the order.
5. Prohibited items and conduct
No stolen goods. No counterfeit goods. No iCloud/Activation-Lock-locked iPhones. No off-platform payment or meet-ups. No misrepresentation. Listing stolen or counterfeit goods may be reported to An Garda Síochána.
6. Device identifiers
For iPhones and consoles you may be asked to provide a device identifier. SafeSwap stores only a hash and the last four characters — never the full IMEI or serial in plain form.
7. Tax (DAC7)
SafeSwap may be required to collect and report seller information to Revenue under EU DAC7 rules once you pass the reporting thresholds. You agree to provide the required information.
8. Liability
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you list. SafeSwap's liability to you is limited to the payout value of the affected order.
9. Changes
A new version of these terms requires re-acceptance before your next listing submission.
